Graphic Design

I learned how to design while working as an editor for an independent weekly newspaper. I started out pitching in to design ads. Then I was handling the editorial layout of the publication. From there, I expanded and experimented, adding my own style and eye to projects. I’ve designed campaigns for United Way, restaurant marketing for Duluth’s most popular restaurants, including Fitger’s Brewhouse Brewery & Grille, numerous winner of Minnesota’s Best Brewpub. I’ve designed and redesigned logos, including one for Dr. Erin Aldridge, the concertmaster of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra to go along with the customized website I built for her. These are a representative sampling of my work. I’m happy to share more, on request. My design work for advertising has been published regionally and nationally.
